Every fee

Yearly fee

$0 (no annual, inactivity or cancellation fee)

Our own test

We're buying things with crypto cards in AUD, USD, EUR and GBP from October and comparing what each card takes with the mid-market rate. What this card actually charges will show here and in our Q4 report.

Where these numbers come from

Bybit Card's published terms, checked 27 September 2026. Where sources disagree we use the less generous reading.

Our research notes

Pass 2, researched 27 Sep 2026 from documents opened and saved (evidence/bybit-card in the Q4 report pack). MODELLED PROGRAMME: the bybit.com card programmes (Asia Pacific, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Georgia, Kazakhstan AIFC), which all use one rewards system. VERIFIED against the official help centre: 'Introduction to Bybit Card Rewards' (updated 7 Jun 2026) gives Tier 1 (Base) 2% capped at 2,500 points ($5) a month; Tier 2 2% capped at $50 (VIP 1 to 2, or $500 monthly spend); Tier 3 4% capped at $150 ($3,500 or VIP 3); Tier 4 6% capped at $250 ($9,500 or VIP 4 / PRO 1); Tier 5 8% capped at $400 ($12,500 or VIP 5 / PRO 2); Tier 6 10% capped at $600 ($25,000 or Supreme VIP / PRO 3 to 5). A tier unlocked by spend lasts until the end of the following month, so steady monthly spend keeps it; the engine applies it in the same month, which is slightly generous in a first month. Cashback = points x 0.002 in USDT. No separate binding rewards terms were found on bybit.com. Card type: the Australia, Argentina, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Peru cards are prepaid; the Asia Pacific, Mexico and Brazil cards are issued as credit cards but settled from your Bybit balance, so the file uses prepaid. The same table was live on 20 Apr 2026 (Wayback). STAKES: VIP asset thresholds from 'Introduction to the VIP Program' (updated 30 Jul 2026): VIP 1 $100,000, VIP 3 $500,000, VIP 4 $1,000,000, VIP 5 $2,000,000 of total wallet balance (any assets, so no token price is involved); Supreme VIP has no asset route (trading volume only), so Tier 6 carries requiresStake 1 with the $25,000 spend route, per the spend-threshold rule. FEES VERIFIED against the Asia Pacific Cardholder Terms (dated 16 Jun 2025): 'Crypto Conversion Fee: 0.9%', 'Foreign Currency Conversion Fee: 2%', no maintenance fee; and the help-centre 'Fees and Limits' page (updated 10 Sep 2026), which gives 2% FX and 0.9% conversion for Australia, Asia Pacific and Georgia, a 2% international fee for Kazakhstan, and says the conversion fee 'applies to all transactions funded with non-fiat assets', with a worked USDT example, so stablecoin spend pays it. Paying from a fiat balance in the card's currency avoids it; the Australian terms convert crypto on every purchase. FX MODELLING: rate 0.02 for all open regions. ROW is mixed: the Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Peru cards are in local currency, so local spend there pays no FX, but Georgia pays 2%; the less generous 2% is used (a founder decision). AUSTRALIA: a live programme exists (USD prepaid Mastercard issued by Fly Wallet Pty Ltd, arranged by Winway International; PDS dated 5 Feb 2024; the help-centre FAQ updated 3 Sep 2026 still lists it) and it IS in availableIn: the founder checked on 28 Sep 2026 that Australians can sign up (this supersedes decision D19), even though the Australian application guide now reads 'This article is currently not supported on this site' (it was live on 11 Apr 2026), the card page shows 'Service Restricted' to Australian visitors, and Bybit's own wiki (Aug 2026) says Australia is not supported. Australian fees conflict: the PDS says a 1% foreign exchange fee and the help centre said 1% on 16 Jun 2026, but the help centre now says 2%; conversion 0.9% (Winway terms). EEA (Bybit EU, separate entity and card, since 1 Jan 2026), NOT modelled here: under the Bybit EU Card Cashback Terms (dated 3 Jun 2026) non-VIP users get 1% flat with no monthly cap, from 15 Jun 2026 for new applicants and from 4 Aug 2026 12:00 UTC for existing cardholders (it replaced 2% capped at 2,500 points, EUR 5); VIP users keep the 2% to 10% ladder, and spend-based upgrades are now only for VIPs. EEA card in EUR, FX 0.5%, conversion 0.9%, no annual or issuance fee, cashback in USDC or BTC; about 0.1% kept at $2,000 when paying from crypto. Also not modelled: the Pay Later instalment bonus (+1% with its own cap), time-limited welcome cashback (up to 110 USDT in 30 days) and the 2x summer travel event (ended 15 Sep 2026). Reviews disagree with the binding documents on FX (Finder AU 0.5% and CryptoSlate 0.5% quote the EEA schedule; kkinvesting 1% for Australia matches the older Australian rate) and on the base rate (CryptoSlate's 1% uncapped is the EEA non-VIP rate). VERIFY: which Asia Pacific countries are eligible, and the Australian FX rate.

What changed on this card

  • 5 Oct 2026Cashback only on crypto-funded spend outside the EEAFrom 5 Oct 2026, purchases outside the EEA earn cashback only when paid with crypto, so the 0.9% conversion fee always applies, and non-VIP Tier 2 users lose the 100% subscription rebate.Bybit announcement: changes to your cashback rewardsComing up
  • 10 Sep 2026Australian FX fee listed at 2%Bybit's fee table now lists 2% FX plus the 0.9% crypto conversion fee for Australia, up from 1% in June, although the 2024 Australian PDS still says 1%.Bybit help centre: card fees and spending limitsCosts more

What's good and what to watch

Good

  • No annual or monthly fee, and the virtual card is free
  • 2% on the first $2,500 a month once you spend $500 a month (Tier 2), with higher tiers unlocked by spend alone
  • Cashback converts to USDT automatically
  • Spends directly from your Bybit balance in several cryptos and stablecoins

Watch

  • Two fees on most purchases: 0.9% to convert crypto (stablecoins too) plus 2% on spend outside the card's currency, which together exceed the 2% cashback
  • Below $500 a month the cashback is capped at $5 a month
  • Every tier has a monthly cashback cap, from $5 to $600
  • Custodial: funds sit on the Bybit exchange
  • Separate programmes by region: EEA residents get a different Bybit EU card, and Australian sign-ups are not confirmed
