VERIFIED 2026-09-27 against official CoinJar pages read through search results (not opened directly; coinjar.com blocks fetchers). SOURCES: the support article 'CoinJar Card fees and limits' (1% transaction fee on card purchases; foreign transactions pay a 2.99% foreign transaction fee plus the 1.0% CoinJar fee, 3.99% in total; free to set up, no monthly fees; A$5,000/day or 25 transactions; A$1,000/day cash across up to 5 withdrawals); the 2021 PDS (issued by EML Payment Solutions Limited, AFSL 404131; Mastercard rate plus a 2.99% foreign exchange fee); the card and rewards pages ('everyday purchases have a standard 1% fee, which you get back in reward points'; 1 point per $1 on eligible purchases); and the 18 September 2024 rewards blog (A$10 of Bitcoin now costs 1,000 points, down from 1,100, matching gift cards). MODEL: the 1% purchase fee is fx.conversionRate 0.01 on every purchase and the points are the cashback at 1% (1 point per A$1, about 1c per point), so AUD spend nets about 0%. The card is AUD-denominated, so AU is the FX free region; non-AUD spend adds 2.99%. Points are valued at their redemption rate for crypto and gift cards; the terms say they have no intrinsic value beyond redemption. TO VERIFY: whether foreign-currency purchases also earn points (assumed yes, as eligible purchases); whether AUD itself can be the spend account (the help centre says any cryptocurrency account); the 1% ATM fee (seen only in search summaries of the fee page). CONFLICTS REJECTED: Cryptowisser lists a USD 29 issuance fee and a USD 2 ATM fee (aggregator; contradicts the official free set-up); one review says 100 points per $1 (official pages say 1 point per $1); Cryptonews.com.au calls it a Visa card (it is a Mastercard). The UK card closed on 30 June 2024. No change to card fees or rewards found between 1 Oct 2025 and 27 Sep 2026. POINT VALUE (founder decision D41, 28 Sep 2026): points are valued at 1c, the Rewards Store rate any cardholder can take (A$10 of Bitcoin or a A$10 gift card for 1,000 points; A$20 = 2,000; A$25 = 2,500; rewards.coinjar.com, read 28 Sep 2026). CoinJar's help article prices fee waivers at 50 points per AUD (about 2c a point), but only against CoinJar's own 1% buy, sell and convert fees and external send fees, which the model doesn't count; no document offers a waiver of the card's own 1% purchase fee.
