Our research notes
Verified 2026-09-27 from the official CoinSpot Mastercard PDS, card page and fees page (read through search results, not opened directly) plus the founder's tracker record, which cites the PDS dated 29 April 2026. CONFIRMED (MED-HIGH, official via search): non-AUD transactions get the Mastercard rate plus a 2.99% foreign exchange fee 'in addition to any fees CoinSpot may charge for digital currency sale'; each purchase sells your nominated crypto into AUD and 'a conversion fee and conversion rate will apply'; no annual fees or lock-in. MED (tracker only, verify): the conversion fee is 1% (CoinSpot's instant-sell fee); no issue, annual or account fees in the 29 Apr 2026 PDS; A$7,000/day and 25 transactions/day; digital only; up to 5 ranked wallets; the help centre says an AUD balance can now be linked. MODEL: one 0% plan (no cashback, points or rewards found), fx.conversionRate 0.01 for the crypto sale on every purchase, and fx.rate 0.0299 on non-AUD spend with AU as the free region, so AUD spend from crypto nets about -1%. Not modelled: spending a linked AUD balance (if it skips the conversion fee, the cost there is 0%) and any spread inside CoinSpot's instant-sell price. CONFLICTS: Finder's Sept 2024 review lists A$4,999/day and no direct AUD spending; the 2026 PDS (per tracker) says A$7,000/day and the help centre says AUD can be linked. The 1.88% on CoinSpot's fees page is for depositing into CoinSpot by card, not for card spending.
