Coinbase One Card
- 2% back in bitcoin on every eligible purchase at the entry tier, with no cap on the 2% rate
- Up to 4% on the first $10,000 a month for members holding $200,000+ on Coinbase (2.5% from $10,000, 3% from $50,000)
- No card annual fee and no foreign transaction fee
- Needs a paid Coinbase One membership: Basic annual at $49.99/yr is the cheapest route, and the monthly Basic plan does not qualify
- US only (not US territories) and subject to a credit check; the secured fallback needs a USDC deposit from $100
Lava Card
- Genuinely 0% FX: the official fee tables list both the foreign-exchange and cross-border fees as 0%
- Cashback paid in real Bitcoin: 3% (US) base, 5% at AI-tool partners, 10% at Vibecode/Chorus
- No annual fee and no minimum spend
- "Self-custody" branding is disputed. Lava moved BTC collateral to a custodial cold-storage vault (Sept 2025); the USD card balance is custodial too
- International cashback is only 1%; the headline 3% is US-only
