Our research notes
CATEGORY BONUSES verified 2026-09-28 from official sources; see docs/research/cards/bonuses.md. FOUNDER-OBSERVED 2026-09-27: a 0.5% fee on every transaction, on top of the 1% FX on non-USD spend, seen on the founder's own Tria card; modelled as fx.conversionRate 0.005 (applies in every region, US included). This reverses the June removal of a '~0.5% per-payment' fee, which then traced only to a third-party row. Needs verification: a screenshot of a transaction's fee line, to cite. AIRDROP SECTION RE-VERIFIED 2026-09-12: the 'Season 2 claim ~July 30 2026' in this file never existed. Claims actually opened 2026-05-12 (Season 1 cashback + Season 2 trading rewards in USDT; Season 2 XP as staked TRIA on a 1-year lock at 10% APR) and a second window ran 2026-08-31 to 09-06 (cashback accrued Jan 31 – May 31, Season 1 Loyalty tokens delivered liquid, first Season 3 Mystery Box). Both are closed and no Season 4 is announced. TRIA was ~$0.0036 on 2026-09-12, an all-time low set 2026-09-09 and ~77% below its TGE price. Also noted: 636 Tria users were hit by the Rain Solana card-contract exploit on 2026-08-28 ($431,945 in card balances, fully refunded; wallets unaffected). PENDING for the next pass (see tasks/content-audit-2026-09-12.md): the official ATM fee is $1 + 1% (not the $2 + 3% T&C ceiling quoted here), top-ups now include Base/BSC/Aptos, the referral programme is $5 USDT each side after 4 x $5 payments, and a 20%-off first-year membership promo has run since 2026-08-17. Cashback rates, caps and annual fees were re-confirmed UNCHANGED. ORIGINAL RESEARCH (June 2026) against official docs.tria.so legal terms (card-cashback-terms effective 2026-06-01, card-terms-us, card-terms-international, prohibitions-list) and the official Season 3 blog. CONFIRMED: rates/caps, USDT cashback (no vesting), no staking requirement, Visa, self-custodial, Apple/Google Pay, USDC/USDT. CHANGED vs prior seed: fees are ANNUAL/recurring (T&C 'Annual Fees'); FX up to 3% per T&C; funding has up to 1% USDC settlement fee; removed spurious '~0.5% per-payment' fee; dropped Base (not in any official doc); regions caveated. UNVERIFIED: '$750/day Premium 0% ATM' (third-party only); $1M/day spend limit (third-party). tria.so/pricing and /rewards return 404. Legal tier names: $109='Plastic Card', $250='Metal Card'. Separate Tria Points loyalty system does not affect cashback. Verify terms before publishing.
